A native of Atlanta, Ga, Austin has spent two decades in and around the music industry. From his humble beginnings playing bass guitar in his spare time, to achieving a successful career as a professional musician, his love and passion for music is never lost. Austin began his professional career at the age of 12 playing acoustic guitar for local gospel artists and continued that career into his teens playing electric guitar in his classic rock band. He used his experience and passion to acquire a degree in Music performance, in part by writing and arranging scores for the Gainesville State College jazz band and earning Freshman Jazz Musician of the Year honors along the way. During that time Austin furthered his professional career by becoming a worship and arts director at a local church, and he currently serves as the Creative Arts Pastor at Sugar Hill Church. Over the last few years he has discovered his latest passion, which is writing and performing country music. Influences of Classic Country, Bluegrass, Pop, Rock, Gospel, and Jazz, can all be heard in his writing as he delivers his unique brand of honest and organic, guitar driven country. His debut self-titled EP is currently available on iTunes and all major streaming services.
